  • Land/Sea Concession project

    Our short-term, intermediate-term, and long-term goals

1. The short-term goal is bring about positive changes and more open government in VN so if other issues like the concession come up, they would not do it in secret or at least think twice before doing so.

2. The intermediate-term goal is through certain news source in Vietnam, it will take the next 3-5 years to put in the remaining border posts. If this is the case, when both people in Vietnam and oversea Vietnamese standing up and let the government know that they oppose the concession, the government may hold off putting in the remaining border posts or may renegotiate the concession.

3. For the long-term goal, in our history it took our forefathers a thousand years to fight back the Chinese and reclaim our land. Therefore, we should not think that the land/sea concession is a done deal. Instead, we should be thinking about long-term strategy and plan of action spanning hundred or thousands of years from now to take back our land and sea. For instance, we need to establish the legal framework and foundation for our future generations, so that when Vietnam is stronger both militarily and economically, it would be easier for our future generations to take back the land/sea. Part of that legal framework and foundation is convincing the US government, other free countries, and United Nations to support our cause and not recognize the treaty.

We are results-oriented, so our focus is on finding and executing innovative approaches that advance the causes of Vietnamese people.  In our effort against the Land and Sea concession, our focus is on national interests and security of Vietnam. To support the effort of oversea Vietnamese communities and people in Vietnam, we have established a petition engine to

  • Host the petition from multiple authors on the Land/Sea concession.

  • Prompt users to vote if they are eligible to make it easier to gain support from elected officials

With this petition engine, we especially ask the signers if they are registered voters. If they indicate that they are not registered voters, we remind them that if they are eligible, they should register to vote. This feature is unique to our petition engine that is not available on other petition engines such as http://www.petitiononline.com. With this feature, the oversea Vietnamese communities can effectively use the number of voters who sign the petition to gain support of the elected officials of the free countries to support the effort against the Land/Sea concession. In addition, another feature that we have, which is not available on other petitions, is the option to sign for HR2833 Human Rights Bill. In the future, as other causes for the Vietnamese communities come up, we will create additional petitions as needed.

We are open-minded and are willing to consider other people's ideas whether they are part of our group or not.  Even though we are based in Orange County, California, we are not geographically bound.  People across the world are welcome to contribute ideas and/or join our group. Because the Land/Sea concession involves our national interests and security, the Vietnamese communities need to put aside our differences whether the differences are over religious, political, or personal. Instead let's collaborate together to make our separate efforts more effective so that our motherland becomes a better place. If you, as an individual, are also concerned with the welfare of our people and our country and want to do something to help, please join us today and let's work together to help our people. If you are already part of an organization, please contact us and we, as Vietnamese, will collaborate to reach our common goals. We look forward to collaborate with other organizations as we continue with this effort.
