have united in the joint request of the US elected officials in Southern California for their acknowledgment and support of their constituents’ concerns regarding the lack of basic democracy due to the secret nature of the land/sea concessions and human rights abuse in Vietnam when people spoke out against it.

We have obtained signed support letters from the US elected officials listed below. Please note that some of the signed support letters have not been converted from the scanned image format to PDF format, so they are quite large for download. We will convert those remaining letters in image format to PDF for faster download. We would like to thank these US elected officials for their support in this endeavor.
Please join us in spreading the news about these support letters to Vietnamese across the world and people in Vietnam to
  1. Let people in Vietnam know that the concessions actually occurred since our concerns regarding the secret land/sea concessions are signed and supported by US elected officials.
  2. Provide the encouragement for overseas Vietnamese communities in other regions to do the same thing, so that the overseas Vietnamese can obtain widespread support from elected officials across the US and other free countries.
  3. Inform people in Vietnam so that they know that we are helping them with our effort. In addition, the signed support letters from US elected officials regarding our endeavor against the land/sea concessions will likely provide the motivation for people in Vietnam to spread the land/sea concession news to other people and also speak out against the concessions.
  4. Create external and internal pressures on the Communist Vietnamese government regarding the people it has arrested. Further, if it is working about additional land/sea concessions, it may think twice before proceeding.
  5. Demonstrate to people in Vietnam of an actual instance of democracy at work where in a free country such as U.S., Vietnamese Americans can obtain support from US elected officials on matters like this one even though we are not Caucasian Americans. With this instance, we show the people in Vietnam that the elected officials in free countries such as the U.S. support the requests and concerns of their citizens. On the other hand, the officials in Vietnam do not, and instead they are interested in their individual personal interests as when they secretly sold out the land/sea that belong to the people of Vietnam and arrested people such as Mr. Quang Chi Le just because those people spoke out against the land/sea concessions.

Thank you for helping to spread the news about these support letters to achieve the stated goals above.
